The adapter was difficult to remove from the display port. Eventually in a month it got stuck at the back of my Dell laptop and bent while pulling out. Now it does not work.

Works fine to connect my dport laptop to my HDMI DLP TV. Note that audio is not routed via display port so you need a separate audio cable.

If you happen to have a computer with display port and a HDMI display, this is a must-have. I have a display port to HDMI cable but had to unhook it from a tight spot on the monitor every time I had to hook another laptop that had HDMI out. With this, I can just hook an HDMI cable to the monitor use it with laptops that have DP out and HDMI out.
Some computers immediately recognize an HDMI signal and some need to be configured. You need to make sure what needs to be done for your computer.
This is a great product with sturdy construction and quality material. This transfers both video and audio signal. NO drivers needed. Truly recommend this product.

This adapter does not work. Tried it on Dell Latitude E6510, with various HDMI cables from SONY, Monster, etc., connecting to a SONY XBR tv. No signal at all. From a local retailer, got a Monster Displayport to HDMI adapter and tried, that works... also tried one from QVS and that works. They're several times more expensive though. Maybe I was lucky enough to get a defective one. Wound up returning it. BargainCell/Amazon was gracious to give a refund. I guess this cheaper adapter is also manufactured cheaply... so you get what you pay for. (But the one from Monster is way over-priced).

Nice quality little piece that securely fastens itself into the display port. I would recommend this if you need a displayport male to hdmi female adapter.
