works great for us! September 5, 2010 shiner9 As other reviewers have said, and the reason I chose this one, is that it switches over to the device that is currently in use. I'm using in an older HDTV w/ only one HDMI outlet, but needed to hookup a Roku device and my dvd player. The Roku is always on, but the switcher clicks over and recognizes when the dvd player is on. Just EXACLTY what I needed--there's even one more HDMI slot that I haven't used yet.
Switcher Great August 27, 2010 Jen 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This item works great. It sends an extremely clear signal. Easy to switch from the different outlets.
HDMI Switcher August 8, 2010 Arman Sassani (Irvine, CA USA) This is a nice product and works as reflected on website. Auto switching. Received fast.
works but not as advertised July 18, 2010 Elaine Bailey This product does what I needed it to do. However the smart switching does not work. The directions say that it can detect the component that has been turned on and switch it automatically to that one, but only if that component completely shuts off and doesn't stay in that standby mode that most current electronics have. I am connecting my satellite receiver and my DVD player. Even when turned off, they still have a trickle of electricity running through them and this causes the intellegent function to be useless. I have tried changing the order of the inputs as others have suggested, but that did't work either. That being said, it's not that big of a deal to walk to the TV and punch the button to change the input, but if you're expecting it to do it automatically, it won't. I also had a little trouble with shipping. It was supposed to come UPS (we don't have a mailbox), but it was sent by a new method that goes part way UPS and part way USPS. Therefore, it was in never never land for a week, but we were eventually able to locate it and get delivery.
Works as advertised June 28, 2010 CK (Sacramento, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My equipment: ATT Uverse, LG BlueRay DVD, Samsung DLP HD with only one HDMI connection. Plugged the HDMI port into the Samsung's HDMI port, LG BD into #1 & Uverse DVR into #2. Turned on all equipment -- LG BD input on the TV screen, turned off the LG BD and Uverse appeared on the screen -- turned the LG BD back on and it reappeared on the TV screen. Couldn't ask for more -- sound and picture quality perfect. Recommended for anyone with older HD TV with only one HDMI port. I don't play games so don't know how they would work with the switch.
