Why spend your money on a cable that will soon be outdated. The HDMI 1.4 specification will offer the following enhanced functionalities: HDMI Ethernet Channel The HDMI 1.4 specification will add a data channel to the HDMI cable and will enable high-speed bi-directional communication. Connected devices that include this feature will be able to send and receive data via 100 Mb/sec Ethernet, making them instantly ready for any IP-based application. The HDMI Ethernet Channel will allow an Internet-enabled HDMI device to share its Internet connection with other HDMI devices without the need for a separate Ethernet cable. The new feature will also provide the connection platform to allow HDMI-enabled devices to share content between devices. Audio Return Channel The new specification will add an Audio Return Channel that will reduce the number of cables required to deliver audio upstream for processing and playback. In cases where HDTVs are directly receiving audio and video content, this new Audio Return Channel allows the HDTV to send the audio stream to the A/V receiver over the HDMI cable, eliminating the need for an extra cable. 3D Over HDMI The 1.4 version of the specification will define common 3D formats and resolutions for HDMI-enabled devices. The specification will standardize the input/output portion of the home 3D system and will specify up to dual-stream 1080P resolution.

I received this cable and it instantly improved the picture compared to the AV cables I was using. In addition, I now can watch 3D shows do to this cable. Don't spend a lot on a fancy name cable.

This cable has been working well for me with my Blu-Ray player and HDTV.
I can't speak to how it does with ethernet, 3D or audio return, as I have no equipment that does any of that. But I figured it couldn't hurt to get a cable that could allow me to use it with enhanced HDMI equipment in the future. Especially since the price of this cable was about the same as other cables that didn't list support for those features.
I'd buy more of these if I had a use/need for them.

I recently purchased an 3-D Panasonic TV. I bought an expensive brand HDMI cable. I tested both cables. Surprise!! There was absolutely no difference and viewing the X Games in 3-D was fantastic. I returned the other brand and purchased a couple more for a friend.

I paid a pittance for this cable compared to the "name brand" cables and it works perfectly. I have it running from an Insignia Blu Ray, through a Yamaha surround receiver, and from there to a Sony LCOS tv. The Blu Ray has a settings screen to test the connections from it to the tv and it gave a satisfactory reading, everything operates as it should at full 1080P, and the picture is amazing.
Even if the cable were to go bad a few months down the road, I could buy a few of these for the price of the name brand cables. I have other no-name cables on other AV setups in my house and those cables have never given me so much as a wayward pixel, but if you want to buy a $100 cable from onsterMay, it's your cash.

I love these cables. I bought a couple of them for my home entertainment system. 1 of them I hooked up from my sony blue ray player to the sony 3d tv. It provides a great movie watching experience.
